1.1.1.1 now supports post-quantum DNSSEC, all 2,420 bytes of it

Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 resolver began validating DNSSEC signatures made with ML-DSA-44, a NIST-standardized post-quantum algorithm. Each signature is 2,420 bytes, about 38 times the size of an ECDSA P-256 signature, which tests DNS transport and resolver behavior under much larger responses. Cloudflare also has to preserve conventional signatures for older resolvers without creating a downgrade route for newer ones.
